Week 11

In advancing my senior project Stellar Odyssey, I have been focusing on two critical aspects to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the production.

In my senior project, Stella Odyssey, I focused on improving two key elements for the overall production process and the efficiency of the project.

First, I have been actively exploring ways to speed up the rendering process. Rendering in 360-degree VR with complex visual elements can be a very slow task, and efficient completion of this production area is essential to deliver the product in a timely manner and to free up space for innovation. This required investigation of advanced rendering techniques such as using GPU acceleration, scene geometry layout, and finally render engine and settings to obtain the right combination of visual fidelity and computational efficiency.

Second, I refined a lot of visual detail and camera path design. The visuals of this project were the most important elements to make an impact, and I tried to create a surreal, over-detailed environment that connected to music and story. I further utilized the details that matched the texture, lighting, and overall atmosphere with the fascinating visual narrative in the space-themed background. I carefully selected each one to harmonize with the music and emotional clues.

In terms of camera path, I carefully trimmed and changed angles and played with mobile dialogues to make things smooth and viewer-friendly. The goal was to provide a lively and healthy journey by utilizing VR’s special function that gives viewers a three-dimensional effect. By completing these outlines, I realized a less rigid and comprehensive storytelling style, and the impact of each frame could be expressed concisely.

Together, these advancements represent my commitment to delivering a polished, innovative project that pushes creative and technical boundaries. The process of finding the right balance between aesthetic quality and technical feasibility has been challenging but rewarding, and it continues to drive my passion for exploring new possibilities in VR animation.
